Safety & Construction B2C Licensing and Business Development Leader (Job Number: 191075W-01)
This role reports to Global B2C leader and is responsible to drive business development for new accounts in B2C categories to achieve revenue goals. The B2C Business Development Leader is responsible for developing a strategic roadmap and business development pipeline of new opportunities to profitably extend S&C brands into consumer markets and new business models by partnering with brand licensing managers, technical teams, and targeted brand houses and consumer goods companies
Conducts research on B2C categories to understand market conditions, trends and how to position S&C’s offering with strategic accounts; consult with customers to understand their requirements and to align our solutions and services accordingly
Drive innovation in product lines and establish a consumer product development process targeted at bringing DuPont science and technology to licensed products. Work closely with Licensees, LOB Field Sales & Field Technical resources globally to establish product objectives and features required to address competitive market conditions and meet business plan objectives
Develop the Business Development Strategy and associated Sales Plans that leads to new account wins to deliver on financial objectives in collaboration with each LOB and implement key programs with milestone driven granular execution
Drive sales opportunities through the formal sales process in target B2C categories; maintain weekly/monthly sales plan and provide accurate pipeline forecasting
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, demonstrations, solution proposals, responses to tenders and maintain comprehensive product, brand, and industry knowledge
Work closely with DuPont businesses and customers to ensure coordinated activities with key retailers and to create channel strategies that have the best likelihood of acceptance and success. Represent DuPont at meetings between Licensees and retailers. Develop business/retail presentations that support DuPont’s strategic positioning.
Work closely with Brand Licensing Managers and Product Stewardship to perform due diligence, contract negotiation, conflict resolution, product stewardship compliance, product positioning, channel strategies and marketing communications programs.
Work with customers to partner on annual marketing plans by reviewing & approving product submissions and promotion, advertising, POS initiatives. Participate in key retail account meetings on behalf of the DuPont brand and understand and manage customer expectations of DuPont.
Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.
2-3 years brand licensing or brand management experience.
Experience managing a P&L preferred.
Experience with business contracts and trademark protection laws.
Proven track record of advancement and increased responsibilities.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience working across functions to both launch initiatives and manage the life-cycle of a program.
Exceptional project management and relationship management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
