HR/Functions Service Delivery Lead (Job Number: 191584W-01)


Role Summary

Application Management & Support involves managing various ERP and non-ERP applications supporting business functions (e.g. Integrated Operations, HR, Finance, Legal etc ), including coordinating changes impacting applications, leading incident response efforts, and driving release management processes. The role also involves overseeing vendors that perform Application Management & Support activities.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities


• Implement tools & processes for incident, change management and problem management

• Responsible for integrated incident and problem management

• Responsible for communications and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders impacted, or potentially impacted, by service disruption, additions, changes, and/or reductions in service

• Ensure regular monitoring and health checks for the application and jobs

• Develop application-related change and release management plans in partnership with Enterprise Platforms & Applications teams

• Review and Perform impact analysis of changes initiated by technical teams, project teams, other applications and infrastructure teams. Approve them as needed

• Plan and coordinate environment Changes in the application environment

• Partner with IT stakeholders , End to end service integration team and external vendors, as needed, to plan and drive implementation of change requests

• Communicate application outages and maintenance windows appropriately to application users

• Maintain production environments including installation/deployment of operating system updates, security patches, configuration changes, and application updates

• Validate and ensure all software components have sufficient license entitlements and maintenance contracts in place, as required for the application

• Create and maintain help content and knowledge base for applications, to be leveraged by User Support teams

• Perform root cause analysis for complex application issues escalated by User Support team

• Identify and implement service improvements and process improvements

• Ensure the audit requirements and processes are followed strictly and represent the application, if selected for audit

• Implement and monitor controls defined by the internal controls standards manual. Provide evidence of execution as required.

• Transition new projects and solutions to production support teams

• Responsible for disaster recovery and business continuity planning

• Responsible for 24x7 365 application availability

• Responsible for application lifecycle management in collaborating with the Enterprise Platforms group and the Enterprise architects for large upgrades, App decommissioning etc.


• Application service level targets (e.g., availability, performance) met or exceeded

• Timely investigation and resolution of Application issues through coordination with User Support teams

Technical Competencies

• Extensive knowledge of enterprise applications and the supported business processes

• Ability learn and upskill on new technologies, processes and applications

• Experience working with Vendors, product roadmaps and support lifecycles

• Understanding of ITIL processes

• Manage externally-contracted vendor resources

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge and Understanding of Internal Controls

Experience & Education required

At least 5 years of relevant Technical configuration experience with specialization in SAP HCM, Workday and other HR applications

Strong Knowledge for hire to retire processes

Knowledge Java/.Net and sharepoint applications preferred

Bachelor's degree
