Material Movement Analyst (Job Number: 189607W-01)
DuPont Pioneer is looking for an experienced Material Movement Analyst to join our team in Johnston, Iowa. This position is responsible for the planning, compliance and movement of various biological materials by and for DuPont Pioneer research. You will support and develop solutions for international material movement. The incumbent will also manage information and staff to provide service and meaningful communication to our customers.
Responsibilities include, but arenot limited to:
Coordinate material movement needs with various levelsof employees of DuPont Pioneer and external global customers.
Evaluate materials, sources and route options forinternal and external shipping requirements to insure successful and compliantmaterial movement.
Routinely handle, repackage and consolidate shipmentsweighting up to 55 lbs.
Interpret and apply various regulatory requirements tomaterial movement decisions.
A key contact or liaison between Research andIntegrated Operations Planning & Logistics.
Candidate will assure Research employees are incompliance with international phytosanitary laws, regulatory requirements andother internal germplasm security policies.
Develop, maintain, administer and conduct training onmaterial movement topics for employees
Participate in updating, reviewing, and maintainingvarious manuals.
Provide solutions to information and material movementobstacles by analyzing and suggesting improvements to policies, procedures andIM systems, while maintaining compliance to internal and external requirements.
Maintain a working knowledge of and utilize departmentISO procedures and work instructions, including knowledge of various Pioneerorganizations’ ISO procedures.
Interact and communicate complex (and sometimesconfidential) information with people from various cultures and internationalbackgrounds within Research, Integrated Operations, Sales and outsidecustomers.
As a Material Movement Analyst, you will perform duties in an office environment 30% of the time and 70% in a warehouse environment the remaining time.
To bequalified for this role, the following is required:
High School Diploma with 2-3years related experience
Experienced PC skillsrequired. Advanced knowledge andoperation of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word isrequired.
Knowledge of or ability toquickly learn and use multiple enterprise systems (such as SAP R/3, PRISM,PHYTO, Picksys, SM Labs, EXCERPT, BRIO, SPIN) as well as inter and intranetsystems.
Must possess a validdriver’s license.
Must be willing to obtainCommercial Pesticide Applicator Category 7C – Fumigation certification as wellas National Seed Health System accredited to do visual seed inspections and labsampling.
Must be comfortable handlingand consolidating shipments weighing up to 55 lbs.
The following skill sets are preferred:
Associate’s orBachelor’s degree preferred.
Understandingof material movement and application of compliance regulations (such as GMO andPhytosanitary)
Knowledge orwillingness to learn of Six Sigma, LEAN, ISO9000 and process improvementmethodologies as well as supervisory skills
Prefer aworking knowledge of production agriculture and plant breeding methodology
