National Sales Manager - Roofing (Job Number: 015093W-01)

Description

This role is responsible for developing and executing the roofing sales plan in North America. This includes setting priorities and providing direction to the roofing sales team, driving profitable revenue growth, converting roofing contractors who are not currently using DuPont products, managing relationships with key dealers, and administering large national contracts. Closely coordinates and communicates with multiple channel partners. Reports to North America Sales Manager - Building Envelope, DuPont Protection Solutions.

Responsible for:

  • Managing all aspects of our selling efforts in the roofing market

  • Managing independent rep network focused on contractor conversion & dealer stocking programs

  • Supports distributors & channel partner programs

  • Executing pricing policies

  • Providing pertinent input / VOC to marketing and R&D teams

  • Developing and executing account plans and objectives

  • Demand forecasting

  • Account management and strategic planning at all channel interfaces

  • Program agreements and contract negotiations

  • Products/ solutions/ service offerings as they pertain to the accounts.

  • Effective and professional communication at all channel and customer interfaces

  • Gathering of case histories for use as public endorsements

  • Product knowledge training

Geographic location: Home-based position in United States near a major airport.

Qualifications

  • Seasoned sales professional with 5-10 years of successful sales experience in the roofing market, with a proven track record of meeting revenue and contribution targets.

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales leadership experience with proven ability to set sales execution strategy and implement with highly motivated sales team.

  • Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Prior experience of discovering, defining, and capturing new market opportunities particularly with large national clients

  • Demonstrated ability to work with / manage independent reps

  • Established relationships with key one step roofing suppliers, large roofing contractors, and key national roofing distributors.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative, multi-functional team (Sales, Marketing, Technical, and R&D).

  • Must be able to build and manage a winning team, with demonstrated ability to coach and motivate seasoned sales professionals.

  • Communication - strong verbal, listening, writing and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with team members, customers, and channel partners.

  • Must be professional with strong business acumen

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of your time.
