Active Directory Architect (Job Number: 016295W-01)
With a mixed/hybrid environment of on-premises systems, public clouds, private clouds, and cloud-based applications, we are looking for an Active Directory (AD) Architect to play a pivotal role in the evolution of DuPont’s IT infrastructure and enabling business initiatives.
As the AD Architect, you will be responsible for developing the overall strategy, roadmap and standards for DuPont’s Active Directory environment, with a focus on the cloud. You will also lead lifecycle management and portfolio management for active directory solutions.
Working closely with other members of the organization, you will work to design, create, review and continuously improve a comprehensive information technology portfolio of solutions. Utilize your strong communication skills by educating key stakeholders and business unit leaders on IT risk management and how to effectively balance security with business requirements. Provide guidance during security incidents and communicate risk mitigation strategies to a mix of technical and non-technical audiences.
Deliverables will include AD strategies, roadmaps, standards and designs in accordance with industry best practice architectural frameworks which must be aligned with internal security guidelines and policies. The primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to :
Lead the Active Directory design and implementation of the design.
Work with Microsoft to ensure designs meet best practices.
Engage in projects and initiatives and / or complete specific tasks related to Information Security projects and initiatives.
Work with service providers to maximize operating efficiency. Includes the development of guidelines, standards, procedures and customized scripts related to the use of Active Directory.
Provide best practices, design direction and mentors staff in the development of special utilities used by system administration staff to identify and resolve hardware / software performance bottlenecks.
Ongoing activities may include: system administration, networks, databases, implementation of cutting edge technology or project complexity. Is a member of the technical visionary team and represents the group in cross functional activities.
Perform any other essential duties as assigned.
Satisfy compliance requests for auditors, customers, and third party contacts.
In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required:
Bachelor's degree required (equivalent related experience will be considered)
Minimum 10 years of experience working in Information Technology with 5+ years focused on Active Directory design
Complete and in-depth knowledge of multiple hardware, operating systems, middleware and/or web services on multiple platforms. Knowledge of system processors, data storage devices and/or inter-system communications. Strong knowledge of corporate applications, as well as development and systems operations groups.
A background in architecture, IaaS, PaaS and network security
Knowledge & expertise of Azure services, like MFA (multi-factor authentication).
Broad professional, technical and business knowledge; recognized expert. Proven ability to demonstrate originality and ingenuity. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage projects. Proven ability to build consensus and mobilize others for action and to identify and communicate to others the impact of changes. Strong ability to provide expert guidance and advice on how to deal with unordinary situations.
Managerial Experience preferred
