DuPont Dordrecht site SHE manager
The DuPont Dordrecht site SHE manager will provide safety, health and environmental leadership, direction, support, and consultation to DuPont line management/business units (80%) and to other DuPont businesses (20%). Provide guidance and technical expertise/support to site Safety Coordinators. Interpret laws and regulations impacting SHE; develop company policies, standards and guidelines to assist business compliance. Participate in the development of safety programs to keep employees from being injured, conduct employee training and complete risk management assessments in the areas of safety, occupational health, and environmental protection. Support, coordinate and analyze injury/illness recordkeeping for completeness and consistency.
DuPont Dordrecht site
DuPont site in Dordrecht is a site with around 300 DuPont employees. On site there are 3 production facilities that produce Delrin® and Ethylene Co-Polymers. The Delrin® Chemical process is a High Hazardous Process with one highly toxic material. Delrin® Compounding is the finishing area where the polymer is compounded with extruders and pelletized. Also the ECP area is a compounding area with extruders and packaging equipment.
In DuPont Dordrecht is within DuPont defined as a high risk sites with regard to process safety management and falls under the Seveso guide lines.
The Dordrecht businesses on site have historically enjoyed solid variable margins, and the products exhibit properties that are unique in the market place. Main differentiator with competitive offerings is the intrinsic product properties, making Delrin®, Surlyn® and Fusabond the product of choice for molders with specialty applications.
The SHE manager is the spider in the web for all DuPont safety, health and environmental related matters. There is a connection with the Chemours organization and ER-function at the Dordrecht site, the DuPont SHE function in EMEA, but also has a strong connection to the local authorities.
Provide SHE leadership at site level and drive adherence to the safety core value.
"Feel" accountable for site SHE performance.
Manage the site SHE organization.
Connect to the larger regional SHE-function to assure adequate competency support for the site at all times.
Lead the compliance team and be an active member in the Emergency Response site team.
Build/maintain strong links with site management - active member of the site leadership and/or RC committee and a regional SHE competency team.
Knowledge of the Responsible Care program and the improvement goals for ISO14001
Sound technical background in (chemical) engineering.
Masters Degree, Certified Safety Professional or Certified environmental professional preferred.
5 – 8 years of technical SHE experience in a manufacturing organization with key responsibilities in safety, health & environment.
Outstanding planning and organizational skills
Knowledge of SHE principles in a production environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability and interpersonal skills to work with all levels of employees, management and the authorities.
Ability to manage multiple high priorities/projects and set appropriate priorities.
Lead a team of 3- 5 SHE professionals.
Attention in details
Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language
Willing to move to the Dordrecht area
