Quality Senior Engineer (Job Number: 015359W-04)

  • Manages site projects in support of site Quality objectives

  • Identifies and facilitates implementation of corrective and preventative actions related to quality management system improvement, customer satisfaction, quality related aspects of supplier and contract manufacturer relationship

  • Establishes quality management system procedures and systems to anticipate quality failure modes and prevent quality incidents

  • Documents, trains and implements improvements with operations

  • Analyzes ongoing quality performance of product and process data, summarizes performance for periodic process capability review by leadership and reviews customer complaint data to provide early identification of customer satisfaction patterns


In order to be Qualified, you must possess the following:

Ability to understand the quality standard relevant to the industry requirements (i.e. ISO 9001:2015) and the controls necessary to achieve and maintain compliance with the standards as appropriate.

Demonstrated understanding of and ability to perform and lead:

  • Statistical process control / Product Quality Management methods

  • Corrective and preventive action

  • Specification management

  • Document control

  • Management review

  • Process capability measurement

  • Record control

  • Training

  • Product traceability

  • Auditing

  • Quality performance measurement analysis

Demonstrated ability to understand, calculate, establish, and communicate key quality metrics including Cost of Nonconformance, Complaints, Complaint frequency, cycle time, audit results, and reduction of Quality Restricted Inventory

Demonstrated experience and results in auditing, carrying out root cause failure analysis and identify and drive closure on critical corrective and preventive actions

Demonstrated understanding and experience in data analysis and its application to improve manufacturing process capability

Demonstrated capability of building a business case to achieve area goals and effectively enrolling constituents

Experience in process troubleshooting, operational quality SOP/SP knowledge, customer quality change management

Understanding of quality IT systems and tracking. Knowledge of the processes and flow in the operation as it relates to quality.

Ability to present ideas in a clear, succinct, and compelling manner in both individual and group situations

Delivers clear and succinct oral and written messages and is able to make complex messages clear both internally and to our customer.

BS or Greater in Science or Engineering and greater than 10 years of demonstrated capability in problem solving, analysis and communication

Green Belt or equivalent certified problem solving skills

Preferred Skills:

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer

Expertise in Quality Management Systems and Quality Standards and the ability to effectively apply the standards to the operation

Strong understanding of product by process and process measurements (e.g. in-line, at-line, Lab) and how they related to assurance of a quality product

Knowledge of customer requirements and the ability to engage the organization to meet those

Understanding of product specifications and release specification criteria
