Distribution Requirement Planner – DCP Vietnam (Job Number: 017627W-01)



The Distribution Requirement Planner is accountable for evaluating, planning and executing the stock keeping unit inventory levels, locations and safety stocks by customer/warehouse to support the desired level of customer service while maintaining cost effective levels of inventory. This includes scheduling and managing delivery, storage, warehouse, movement of materials and coordinating in Import/Export tasks and ensure on complying on all local regulations. He/she is responsible to assure supply processes have access to the proper inputs to satisfy demand while meeting cost and inventory objectives.

DistributionRequirement Planner Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes the Stock Keeping Unit replenishment plans tocontrol the physical distribution of the right finished product to meetthe stated customer service levels while maintaining appropriate inventorylevels

  • Leads and manages activities of planning for Toll-tollback with 3 rd party toll contractors

  • Analyze demand during lead time (daily) (ddlt),identify abnormal demand patterns and verify causes with oursales/marketing team and customers.

  • Determine the SKU inventory levels, locations, andsafety stocks by customer/warehouse to support the desired level ofcustomer service while maintaining cost effective levels of inventory.

  • Execute the SKU phase in/phase out planscollaboratively with customers/sales & marketing.

  • Reviews and acts upon plan exception messages(rescheduling open orders as feasible and coordinating with demand managerto manage demand when supply is not adequate) from the daily re-planningof resources.

  • Maintains master data for the distribution/deploymentnetwork

  • Executes the timely release of STOs

  • Communicate production issues, supply changes,deviations from plan and potential resolutions to Sales and Marketing

  • Analyze customer SKU order demand patterns, collaboratewith the marketing/product manager, sales reps and customers to validatethe forecast of demand by customer/warehouse for each SKU.

  • Coordinate with 3PL on Import / Export tasks and ensureon compliance with related regulation eg conformity regulation

  • Oversee inventory cycle counts and adjust inventoryrecords and issues variance notices to correct inaccurate inventoryrecords.

  • Leads improvement activities in all aspects of thesupply chain to simplify where possible.

  • Represents the optimized supply chain plan in thecountry DIBM process.

  • Run the tactical planning process on a monthly basis(current year + two year view).

  • Executes the country SC strategy and plan in support ofthe business and functional strategies

  • Facilitates communication and interaction with Sales,Marketing, Demand Mgmt., Supply Chain, and Sourcing to effectively balancesupply and demand via the DSR / country supply review process

  • Evaluates supply chain performance actual versusperformance targets and takes corrective measures as required

  • Continuously improves improve inventory management andreplenishment plan, while meeting the delivery performance goals.Responsible for Inventory Days Supply (IDS).

  • Manages distribution warehouses set-up and finishedgoods distribution

  • Responsible for Fixed and Variable Finished ProductDistribution Expense (FPDE). This includes the future projections,past performance and improvement plans

  • Develop inventory projection process from SCM7Aggregate planning

  • Responsible for SCM7 Health check metrics Performanceincluding DRP validation

  • Review Infeasibilities and unfulfilled independentdemand

  • Institutionalize Data Governance process and ensureadherence to data maintenance responsibilities as a distributionrequirement planner

  • Create and evaluate alternative supply / demand optionsto close DRP gaps and meet financial objectives and weekly review changesin forecast between current and previous optimizer runs

  • Identify and execute actions necessary to correctshort-term and mid-capacity problems and identifying options and solutionsfor optimization.

  • Assure available inventory is located appropriately tomeet the business’ distribution strategy

  • Closely liaise with local business team to align on newproduct launch strategies & timelines

  • Lead slow-moving raw material disposition process


Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of supply chainplanning experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business,Supply Chain, or Engineering is required

  • Possess good Communication, Networking, Teamwork,People & Organizational skills

  • SAP / APO / BW / SCM7experience


  • APICS certification or advancedsupply chain certification

  • Six Sigma GreenBelt certification

Knowledge of DIBM process
