In this role, you will be challenged to drive step change improvements in Safety, Quality, and Productivity. This position provides leadership and direction for the area and is responsible for the operation of the low hazard processes in Corian® Sheetline Operations. We are seeking exceptional candidates who have demonstrated leadership and Process Safety Management experience. The role has 6 direct reports and 40 indirect reports. Come make a difference! Drives a culture that consistentlydelivers incident and injury free operation by managing expectations,through actions and words, including adherence to policies, procedures,Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) requirements, and Process SafetyManagement (PSM) standards.
Sets expectations for adherence topolicies and procedures and safety standards.
Responsible for leadingSHE improvement efforts in the organization.
Maintains zero overdueperformance for SHE and PSM action items for self and direct reports.
Drives high standards of employee morale,ethics, respectful treatment, and behavior.
Recognizes individuals and/or teams, andcelebrates area accomplishments.
Leads improvement programs andinitiatives for the area. Oversees and supports programs andprojects for direct reports.
Ensures continuous andefficient production in desired quantity and quality, and effectivelymanages daily maintenance work and shutdowns.
Manages quality, cost,resources and schedules.
Builds the capability of the organizationand develops future leaders.
Accountable for establishing and meetingfixed and variable cost objectives.
Responsible for improving unit cost controlfor the area, including establishing and meeting fixed and variablecost objectives, along with other performance metrics/resultsincluding yield, production volume, uptime, quality, PSM and trainingcompliance. Communicates andcollaborates with unit leadership team on performance andimprovements.
The DuPont Yerkes site located in Buffalo, New York employs approximately 470 DuPont employees and another 40-60 contractors. Comprised of two business units, Yerkes includes: Corian ® (Sheetlines 1 & 2 plus Shape), Tedlar ® (Polymer, Mix/Casting, SP, Treating/Finishing), and Power Generation (water/steam). The units work independently to produce materials that are used in a variety of products including: countertops, building panels, wall covering, solar cells, and surface finishes for airplanes, cars, buses, and trains – to name a few. The site is represented by United Steelworkers Union.

In order to bequalified for this role, you must possess the following:
Two-year Associate’s Degree required (BSin Engineering or related field preferred)
3-5 years of leadership in industrialenvironment
PSM experience preferred
Capable of directly leading andeffectively managing people.

Collaborates well with subordinates,peers, and superiors.
