Description

Distribution Requirement Planner Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes the Stock Keeping Unit replenishment plans to control the physical distribution of the right finished product to meet the stated customer service levels while maintaining appropriate inventory levels

  • Leads and manages activities of planning for Toll-toll back with 3 rd party toll contractors

  • Analyze demand during lead time (daily) (ddlt), identify abnormal demand patterns and verify causes with our sales/marketing team and customers.

  • Determine the SKU inventory levels, locations, and safety stocks by customer/warehouse to support the desired level of customer service while maintaining cost effective levels of inventory.

  • Execute the SKU phase in/phase out plans collaboratively with customers/sales & marketing.

  • Reviews and acts upon plan exception messages (rescheduling open orders as feasible and coordinating with demand manager to manage demand when supply is not adequate) from the daily re-planning of resources.

  • Maintains master data for the distribution/deployment network

  • Executes the timely release of STOs

  • Communicate production issues, supply changes, deviations from plan and potential resolutions to Sales and Marketing

  • Analyze customer SKU order demand patterns, collaborate with the marketing/product manager, sales reps and customers to validate the forecast of demand by customer/warehouse for each SKU.

  • Coordinate with 3PL on Import / Export tasks and ensure on compliance with related regulation

  • Oversee inventory cycle counts and adjust inventory records and issues variance notices to correct inaccurate inventory records.

  • Leads improvement activities in all aspects of the supply chain to simplify where possible.

  • Represents the optimized supply chain plan in the country DIBM process.

  • Run the tactical planning process on a monthly basis (current year + two year view).

  • Executes the country SC strategy and plan in support of the business and functional strategies

  • Facilitates communication and interaction with Sales, Marketing, Demand Mgmt., Supply Chain, and Sourcing to effectively balance supply and demand via the DSR / country supply review process

  • Evaluates supply chain performance actual versus performance targets and takes corrective measures as required

  • Continuously improves improve inventory management and replenishment plan, while meeting the delivery performance goals. Responsible for Inventory Days Supply (IDS).

  • Manages distribution warehouses set-up and finished goods distribution

  • Responsible for Fixed and Variable Finished Product Distribution Expense (FPDE). This includes the future projections, past performance and improvement plans

  • Develop inventory projection process from SCM7 Aggregate planning

  • Responsible for SCM7 Health check metrics Performance including DRP validation

  • Review Infeasibilities and unfulfilled independent demand

  • Institutionalize Data Governance process and ensure adherence to data maintenance responsibilities as a distribution requirement planner

  • Create and evaluate alternative supply / demand options to close DRP gaps and meet financial objectives and weekly review changes in forecast between current and previous optimizer runs

  • Identify and execute actions necessary to correct short-term and mid-capacity problems and identifying options and solutions for optimization.

  • Assure available inventory is located appropriately to meet the business’ distribution strategy

  • Closely liaise with local business team to align on new product launch strategies & timelines

  • Lead slow-moving raw material disposition process

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of supply chain planning experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering is required

  • Possess good Communication, Networking, Teamwork, People & Organizational skills

  • SAP / APO / BW / SCM7 experience

Preferred:

  • APICS certification or advanced supply chain certification

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification

  • Knowledge of DIBM process
